Yes. Vulfem International designs, supplies, installs and commissions solar and generator systems, and provides maintenance and technical support after handover.

Grid-Tie Solar

The cost depends on the size of the system, the roof and the equipment chosen. A grid-tie system costs less than a hybrid system of the same panel capacity because it has no batteries. Vulfem International gives a personalised quotation after reviewing the site's electricity use.

No. A grid-tie solar system normally switches off when the grid goes down, as a safety measure. A hybrid solar system, which adds battery storage, is the right choice where backup power is needed.

Not for cash. With a net-metering agreement from Kenya Power, each unit exported earns a credit of half a unit on the electricity bill. Credits roll over from month to month and expire at the end of Kenya Power's financial year.

Very little. Solar panels need periodic cleaning and the system should be inspected regularly. Vulfem International offers operations and maintenance services after handover.

Hybrid Solar

A grid-tie solar system works alongside the grid supply to reduce the electricity bill, and normally switches off when the grid goes down. A hybrid solar system adds batteries, so it can also keep a site running during an outage.

The cost depends on the panel capacity, the battery size and the loads the system must carry during an outage. Vulfem International prepares a personalised quotation after reviewing the site. Request one on WhatsApp at +254 739 629 118 or by email at fmugo@vulfem.com.

It depends on the battery size and what is running. As a guide, a 5 kWh lithium battery runs essential home loads such as lights, a fridge, a TV and Wi-Fi for around four to six hours. Larger sites are sized to their critical loads.

Lithium iron phosphate batteries are commonly rated by their manufacturers for around 6,000 charge cycles, which is ten years or more in normal use.

Generator Service and Maintenance

The cost depends on the generator's size, age, running hours and the work needed. Vulfem International quotes each service or maintenance contract after reviewing the unit. Request a quote on WhatsApp at +254 739 629 118 or by email at fmugo@vulfem.com.

Yes. Vulfem International offers preventive maintenance contracts tailored to each generator and how it is used.
